Linux - Root password reset (grub)
Your root password has been changed and you now have full access to your system.
|1)||Boot system to grub boot menu.|
|2)||Press <ENTER> during the timer to select a kernel to boot.|
|3)||Select a kernel and hit 'e' to edit the kernel entry.|
|4)||Add a 1 to the end of the kernel line in the kernel entry.|
|When finished hit <ENTER> to accept changes.|
|5)||Press <b> to immediately boot the system, which will now boot into single user mode.|
|6)||Once booted to the command prompt, type 'passwd'.|
|Then change the root password to the new password.|
|7)||Type "reboot" and boot as normal.|
